Wood Frog

This little guy prefers to spend his winters frozen.

As in dead frozen.

The wood frog hibernates by stopping his heart from beating, not breathing, and allowing himself to freeze solid.

In the spring, he'll thaw out within 14 to 24 hours and then hop away, fully functioning, like it just took a cat nap!

Sea Cucumber

The sea cucumber prefers liquefaction to freezing.

When in danger, the sea cucumber can liquify or solidify its body at will.

Need to get away from a predator? Let's just pour our body into a crevice. Predator gone? Let's become solid again!

The sea cucumber's skin is made of mutable collagenous tissue that can stretch and reorient with damage.

My question is, why aren't we using this in skin products? Want to look 15? Want to look 70? You can do that lickity split!
